My name is Karl Melrose, and I work with Information and Records Managers in government agencies through consulting organisation Information Proficiency.

I created this site because I saw a need for two things in records practice -

1. More frequent opportunities to share practice and discuss it with other practitioners.

2. Evidence for the real-world efficiacy of some of our practices for which a research base doesn't currently exist.
